How do you make your investment decisions?
Each Spring, DSVP assembles an Investment Committee. Throughout the Summer, we promote our funding round to the community of nonprofits looking for applicants to submit a Letter of Intent. In the Fall, the Committee convenes to vet and cull the applicants to a list of finalists. Finalists are asked to submit a full proposal. Through the final phase, committee members learn how to assess agencies through their proposals, financial reports and site visits. In addition to learning about the nonprofit sector, our committee members learn about what makes a good “fit” for DSVP based on engaged philanthropy.
